Here is the revised, and incidentally final, version of Jimmy Calabrese's portrait. It turned out well, I think, and it was a blast, really, going back into this piece and reworking it. It is up on House of Mysterious Secrets, and you should all check it out.

That's right, these boys are crankin' out the tunes full of death, destruction, ghouls, ghosts, vampires, and everything else that my life revolves around. I have been listening to these fellas for a while now, and have always been impressed by the artwork used on their albums, posters, and merch. So, naturally, when I found out they are DIY and hire on artists themselves, I did my best to appease the Horror Gods, and they were kind enough to give me a shot. So, I was hired to dress up their blog for them with a header, blog-separator, and a portrait of my good man, Jimmy Calabrese. So here are the finished pieces, and I encourage you all to CHECK THESE GHOULS OUT!!! Website AND BLOG, House of Mysterious Secrets. Seriously, super catchy music, with awesomely dark lyrics, all wrapped up in a screaming, bloody bundle. So here are the pieces.

Now here is a band that knows their shit. Ghosts, ghouls, monsters, and some great fucking music. They are three brothers from Arizona and have been on the scene since 2003. Check them out at www.calabreserock.com, and make sure to check out their merch. The coolest damn t-shirts in existence, and I can't wait until my "death" shirt gets here! I really hope they come through Minneapolis one of these days, and I really hope that I hear back from them about doing some artwork.
